Our Team: Board of Directors

SUSAN EVELAND RN
MEMBER, EX OFFICIO
Susan Rogers Eveland is a dedicated healthcare professional whose career reflects a lifelong commitment to service and compassion. After earning her B.S. in Nursing from Baylor University in 1977, Susan began her journey at Baylor University Medical Center (now Baylor Scott & White Hospital) in Dallas, where she served as Supervisor of a Cardiac & Thoracic Step-down Unit.
Her passion for caring extended beyond the hospital walls. While raising her daughters, Jennifer and Jessica, Susan worked part-time in a day surgery center and later became the first on-campus nurse at her children’s school, a role she held for eight years.
In 2007, Susan embraced a new calling—joining her husband, Ken, on short-term medical mission trips to Guatemala. Since then, she has served on mission teams several times a year, working in recovery rooms and pharmacies, providing care and education to patients in underserved communities.
At home in Texas, Susan continues to give back. She spends summers as an Administrative Nurse at a local youth and family camp and mentors young mothers through her church ministry during the school year. Her leadership extends to media outreach as well, having served six years on the Board of Directors for a local radio and media group that shares Christian music and teaching in English and Spanish.
Susan and Ken cherish time with their family—including their beloved “grand-dogs”—and remain deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve others. “Working in an underserved area is very rewarding,” Susan says. “The patients are so appreciative. We all have gifts and abilities, and it’s up to us to decide how we use them. For me, that means helping create lasting impact through healthcare and community service.”
