MELANIE INGLEFIELD NP, RN
MEMBER
Melanie Inglefield has dedicated more than two decades to caring for others. She began her nursing career in 2002, serving in NICU, pediatrics, hospice, and emergency care. In 2023, she became a Nurse Practitioner to expand her ability to provide compassionate care to marginalized populations in Denver and Guatemala.
Her passion for service started early, with her first medical mission trip to Cambodia in 2000, followed by volunteering after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Melanie’s first trip to Guatemala in 2009 sparked a deep love for its people and culture. Since then, she has participated in several mission trips—many to Purulhá—serving as a nurse, team leader, and Nurse Practitioner.
At home, Melanie works at a Safety Net hospital that provides care to all individuals, regardless of ability to pay. She believes healthcare is a basic human right and views every interaction as an opportunity to extend kindness and compassion. Her experiences in Guatemala have shaped her philosophy: medical care is not just a clinical skill—it is a caring art.
Melanie lives in Colorado and enjoys hiking, camping, foraging, wildflower hunts, reading, crafting, and gardening. Her heart for service continues to inspire others to join in creating meaningful change through healthcare and community outreach.
